Alan Knight & Company



Alan KnightAlan Knight is a blues guitarist and singer from Fort Worth, Texas. He recently moved to Denver to discover the exploding music scene. Alan style is a combination of Texas and Delta blues. Alan is part of the blues duo, Knight and Woodward, with bassist Jodie Woodward.

For the past ten years in Texas, he led his own band (Alan Knight and Company) touring around North Texas. He has played with many national and local bands, such as Tab Benoit, Mike Zito, Wayne Toups, and The Blues All Stars.






This year Jodie Woodward was winner of the first annual 2013 Colorado Blues Society Member Choice Award, Best Bass Player. Jodie Woodward started playing bass when she moved to New Orleans in the late 1980s. The first band she joined was an all female band called Blue Sister. Blue Sister toured extensively and was the backup band for Lazy Lester while on a one of her 8 European tours. After 10 years in New Orleans, she moved to Colorado. Arriving on the Colorado blues music scene, started several local bands, Blue Roux and Mojo Gaia. Jodie has toured and recorded with the following artists and bands: Zora Young, Delores Scott, Randy McAllister, Lazy Lester, Dan Treanor, Gretchen Troop Band, Erik Boa and the Constrictors, Coco Robicheaux, and Jack Hadley Band. Jodie was invited to play the Bass Slam for the past 3 years, with the most notable bass players in Colorado. One of the few female Bass Players in Colorado, she brings with her New Orleans funk, blues, swing and sometimes Upright Bass to her repertoire.



Danny Haynes

Danny brings 40 plus year of experience to the Alan Knight and Company Band. Born near Dallas, Texas, he was part of the vibrant music scene that produced the Vaughan brothers-Stevie and Jimmie. Danny became a full-time musician in the early 70’s and never looked back. He toured the USA and Canada with Tommy Latham and McCool-a Vegas type show band that allowed him to become a seasoned stage performer. In 1976, he started The King Peach Band. They were a hard-working road band that recorded their only album in 1980.

In 1996, he moved to Australia became an integral part of the music scene, culminating in the recording of his CD, Built For Comfort. Danny moved to Denver a year ago and has been a great addition to Denver blues. His exceptional keyboard rounds out the band with his depth and soulful playing.



Tim Molinaro has been drumming in the Denver for the past 15 years. Originally from Detroit, Tim has been influenced by Motown sound. Winner of the 2013 Colorado Blues Society Member Choice Awards for best drummer, Tim has played with: Dan Treanor Band, Sammy Dee, Erik Boa and the Constrictors, Cedar Avenue Blues Band and many more.
